Your WordPress blog readers can now listen to your posts!

I discovered a fantastic WordPress plugin last week called Vocalyze. This plugin allows your blog readers to listen to your blog posts via streaming audio. This is a great option that allows you to listen to a blog, a news source or sports channel while driving your car or even watering your plants. It also may be useful to those who have trouble reading the small print on their smart phones. The great news is your blog posts now have a voice!

Like any other WordPress plugin, installation was easy. Once installed you can choose where you would like to place the link on your page. Visit your ‘Widgets’ page from your Admin Dashboard and drag and drop the plugin. I personally have mine on the right side bar of my blog. See the Rock Realty Blog screenshot below.

Now that the small toucan bird icon has shown up on your blog page, the plugin does the rest! It identifies your RSS feed and converts that data into audio. When you click on the link, you are brought to the Vocalyze.com website where your most recent blog entries are displayed. The picture below shows how those entries appear in their media player.
